The National Autistic Society - Pass It On
With 75% of Autistic people changing their actions to reduce the chance of intolerance from the public, we needed to break down negative stereotypes around commonly misunderstood behaviours.
One of which, is stimming. You may not know about stimming, but chances are you’ve probably seen it. Gestures such as hand flapping, rocking or toe walking may come across as negative on first glance, but they in fact help people living with Autism cope with sensory overload and stressful situations. So we created a piece to show just that, and encourage an environment of understanding for all.
